Bev's Snowballs (Yum)
Beat
1 - 8oz pkg cream cheese until smooth
Gradually add in:
3 cups icing sugar
2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup marashino cherries
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Shape into small balls and rolll in vanilla wafer crumbs. Makes about six dozen

1 cup butter
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 - 2 1/2 cups flour
Mix all ingredients together until it is to stiff to work with a wooden spoon.

Christmas Wreaths
1 cup shortening or margarine
2 yolks save whites
salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups flour
Mix well form small balls, dip in egg whites, then roll in nuts or coconut. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Press center of round ball. Fill with warm jelly. Bake at 350 degrees (watch in oven after 5 minutes)

Sugar Cookies ( Kim's Favorite)
Cream
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
Add
1 well beaten eagg
2 tblsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
Beat until light and fluffy
Add
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Combine well and chill the dough. Turn chilled dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll to 1/8 inch thick. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Cut into shapes or squares
Bake: 350 for 6 to 8 minutes

Peanut Butter Cookies
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt.
Mix well. Form into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Use a fork to smush the balls. Bake 350 for 10 to 12 minute. Yield 10 to 12 minutes.
Cherry Flip Balls
1 cup butter
2 egg yolks
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup icing sugar
2 cups sifted flour
2 tsps almond
36 - 40 cherries drained save juice.
Cream buter and sugar, add yolks and beat. Blend flour and salt, add flavoring. Pinch allf small pieces and press flat in hand. Insert cherry. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes or until light brown. Dip in 1 1/2 cup icing sugar and 1/2 cup cherry juice and roll in coconut or nuts.

Easy Shortbread and Good To
1/2 lb butter
2 cups flour
3/4 cups brown sugar
Mix well, roll out cut into squares.
Bake 300 for 15 minutes
Ginger Cookies
Cream:
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
Add:
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup light molasses
Beat until light and fluffy
Blend in the following
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp ginger
Gradually add to the cream mixture, blending thoroughly. Place the dough on pieces of wax paper and shape into rolls which are about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap securely in waxed paper. Refrigerate over night or until needed. Preheat oven to 400. Slice off desired number of cookies making each about 1/8 inch thick. Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 5 to 7 minutes.

Cream:
1 pound lard
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
Cream together
Add
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
Beat with lard and sugar
2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
Add oatmeal until of dropping consistency (6 - 7 cups) Refrigerate for a short while. Spoon out on to baking sheet.
Bake 375 for 8 - 10 minutes

Dani's Chocolate Haystacks
NO BAKE CHOCOLATE-OATMEAL COOKIES
1/4 c. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. sugar
3 c. oats
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix together all ingredients except oats and vanilla. Let boil for 3 minutes. Add vanilla and oats. Mix rapidly and drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper. Let cool.

Another version of Dani' s CHOCOLATE OATMEAL NO-BAKE COOKIES
2 cups sugar
Combine sugar, cocoa, butter and milk in a saucepan. On medium heat, bring to a boil for one full minute. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter (optional), vanilla and oatmeal. Drop by spoonful onto wax paper. Let cool for at least 30 minutes.

Ken's Sugar Cookies
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup butter or shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt (Do not put in if using salted butter)
3 1/2 cups to 4 cups of flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
Combine both sugars, with butter (or shortening). Mix well. Beat in eggs 1 at a time. Stir in milk, vanilla and salt. Mix. (Thicken with more flour if needed) or you can drop onto cookie sheet. Add drop of sugar on top. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes
